The Karnataka Cabinet has approved an estimated ₹70 crore for construction of a bridge on State Highway 290 in Kagwad taluk of Belagavi district.
The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held on September 3, 2026, according to United News of India. The proposed bridge is intended to connect the villages of Aralihatti, Jakkatti, Siddewadi and Goulagutta in the Kagwad area.
The project forms part of the State government's infrastructure decisions announced after the Cabinet meeting. The approved amount is an estimated ₹70 crore, and the development concerns a proposed infrastructure project rather than a bridge that has already been completed.
Improved connectivity on this route could benefit residents and road users in the affected villages and surrounding parts of Belagavi district. Further project execution will depend on the applicable administrative and construction processes.
