Karnataka State Women’s Commission chairperson Nagalakshmi Chowdhary is scheduled to conduct two women-focused programmes in Belagavi on Tuesday, September 8, as part of her three-day visit to the district.
According to the official programme schedule reported by The Times of India, Chowdhary will attend a girl-child safety awareness programme at KLE Centenary Convention Hall and later chair a Women’s Progress Review Meeting at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
Her visit began on September 6 and includes programmes concerning women’s welfare, safety and awareness. On September 7, she visited the District Government Hospital in Belagavi and inaugurated a POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) workshop at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
The September 8 programmes will bring the visit to its scheduled conclusion and are focused specifically on child safety and reviewing progress on issues affecting women.
